"I am blasting the latest tracks from T Marie and Bayou Juju in my work cabin in Connecticut .... so loud that the bears and barred owls should be able to hear it. I'm so grateful for this piece of Louisiana as I travel to new places. Your music is stirs me!" -Laurel
"Yooooo this album sounds awesome!" - Tristan
“Seeing T Marie and the Bayou JuJu last night was a delicious surprise. We heard songs and stories about: three generations of a Cajun family; life in a small village in Bayou country; marriage proposals; shaming of traditional language and culture; and T Marie's charismatic grandmother. Some of the songs were traditionals and some of the songs were written by T Marie, and they flowed brilliantly (with a touch of irony and humor). I would expect a band from the bayou to bring some essence of country life of southwestern Louisiana, but to get such coloratura on their life ... even down to naming the hospitals she, the guitarist, and accordion player Adam Bellard were each born in .....It was great to see these images through the eyes of Marie-Isabelle, who is firmly rooted in South Louisiana life. She truly let’s Louisiana's stories flow from her heart, and you can hear it in her songs. Guitarist, Scott, played a chonky rhythm guitar with some intense leads. The drummer played with a solid groove that lifted the level of energy. The bassman laid a line that was fat and had me solidly in step, dancing with the band. I’m looking forward to more appearances by T Marie and the Bayou Juju... you are in for some Cajun color, music to rise you up onto the dancefloor, and stories and songs that flow from Marie-Isabelle’s heart.” - Joe James
